I think I sadly know the answer after selecting over 3000 photos to delete to clean up my phone I now have to go to recently deleted and recheck on over 3000 photos to get rid of them, absolutely ridiculous!

any way to select all in the recently deleted photos?

Have you actually gone into the delete folder to try delete and see what happens?

What happens when you click select and then look at the bottom left, it absolutely ridiculous that they have a delete all button for you to choose.
