MacBook Pro Screen Shuts Down - Maybe Battery Issue? Gray Screen to Restart

Hello,

I am having the following problem with my MacBook Pro 15inch Late 2016:

If I restart my laptop (unplugged to power source), after typing my password, the screen turns off (or black)...

When this happens, sometimes I get a notice of an empty battery, or low battery (even though the battery is above 70%...

At this point, the only way to start/turn on again is to plug the Mac to the power source...

Once I hit the power button, and just before getting to the log in screen, the screen turns GRAY, with a meter bar in the lower center of the screen (attached photo)... after that, ask for my password, and it wont ask me for a password again.

Is anybody experiencing the same problem?

Thank you,

MacBook Pro with Touch Bar

Plug it into the mains—

Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

and

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

When you reboot hold the shift key for SafeBoot— https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

Takes noticeable longer to get to the login screen, does a 5-15 minute disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, including dynamic loader cache, etc. Login and test.

From here hold the option key and click open the batt icon in the upper right menu bar.

Anything but Condition : Normal needs to be serviced.
