"key commands" key symbols

In the Key Commands window, under the "key" column, there are several symbols used - one symbol represents the full keyboard, one represents the number pad, and the third I don't understand - it's a hollow square overlaying a filled-in square...what does this one mean?

That's an indicator for key commands, that are used in two or more editors and may have a higher priority elsewhere.

Example: Forward is a global command that can be triggered by pressing ".".

But this works also in the step input keyboard, which has a higher priority.
