I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, but I have an old macbook I was looking to trade in, but I don't have the old charger for it so I can't turn it on, therefore I can't find the serial number. If I don't have that I'm assuming I can only turn it in to recycle it? It's pretty old so I wouldn't even have a receipt of it unless Apple has it in their system.

It's printed on the MacBook itself. Look on the bottom or inside the battery compartment.
