Siri's follow up question to a search for "nearby 'x'" is annoying and problematic

I search for "nearby pizza restaurants". Siri briefly displays a list of nearby pizza restaurants, THEN Siri chooses the nearest restaurant to display SAYS SOMETHING STUPID LIKE "DOESN'T THAT SOUND GOOD" AND GOES BACK INTO THE LISTENING MODE.

At that point if Siri recognizes an english word, Siri tries to respond to what it heard, removing the search results and depending on what it heard may go off doing something else UNWANTED.

With an android phone if you say "OK Google, show me a list of nearby pizza restaurants" the phone does just that. It shows you the list of restaurants and ends there.

Siri's behavior is annoying and not at all helpful.

And there's no way to turn it off. None of Siri's adjustments make any difference in that behavior.

You can't please all the people all of the time if you give them options. But in typical Apple style it's Apple's way or the highway.
