iPhone SE won't connect to Mac

My iPhone SE does not connect to my Macbook Air at all. I have reset system preferences on my phone, restarted both devices, and everything is fully updated. Other iPhones connect to my laptop, and it seems my iPhone does not connect to any other Macbook either, I have tried with a Macbook pro. My phone just does not recognize that it is connected to another device. There is nothing wrong with the cable, either, I can use it to connect other phones to my computer. How can I solve this problem?
