Updating safari

I am trying to use safari and it tells me to update. I go to settings, general, software update, it says automatic update. I go back to use safari in the chase acct and again it says update. Don’t know what to do going forward. Please help

Is your iPad compatible with IOS 12 or 13?

Update iPad manually

Go to Settings  > General > Software Update > Automatic Updates, then turn off Automatic Updates.

At any time, you can check for and install software updates. Go to Settings > General > Software Update. The screen shows the currently installed version of iPadOS and whether an update is available.
