if someone does not own an Apple device you do NOT allow that author to import an epub document to idrive and pages. You expect one to recreate a book from scratch -might be one reason iBook far behind kindle books which is device agnostic

At the very least put in your article https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208716 on how to publish an i Book a statement stating, so folks arent wasting time calling you or looking thru your forums

"We do not allow you to import an epub document into Pages so it can be published, you must create one from scratch, buy a Mac or take your book elsewhere"

Could you provide more detail about your problem? People without Apple devices can't publish directly, but they can rent time on a remote Apple machine or use a partner:

Because books from Apple's store can only be read on Apple's devices, authors who want exposure to all platforms are advised to publish via a different store as well. A partner can arrange that I think.
