My Older MAC won’t start up. I’m hoping to transfer old info to new MAC is that possible?

If you have a Time Machine or bootable clone backup of your old Mac you can likely use that to migrate to the new Mac. However if you never backed up, then you could remove the old computer's HD and put it into an enclosure and possibly recover data from it that way, however we don't know what shape your old computer's HD is in .


If the old computer's HD is bad and you don't have a backup, then no you are out of luck. How old is the old Mac and what version of Mac OS was installed.
