Extend (not mirror) iPad display now that mouse and cursor support has finally arrived.

Is it possible to extend the iPad display on an external monitor now that Mouse and cursor support is here? I am aware of mirroring the iPad's display content on an external monitor but I don't want that. Is it very far off?

Nope.

This is not possible directly, but you could look at a app called Duet Display, in the iOS App Store to see if it has had a recent update for iOS 13.4 mouse and trackpad support.
