Volume

the volume my MacBook randomly won't work and the only way I've found to resolve this is to restart my Mac but I was wondering if there was a reason for this. I've looked at the volume setting in system preferences and it is not muted so im confused as to why the sound does not play.

Go step by step and test.


Reset PRAM:  Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support


Reset  SMC:   How to reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support   Choose the appropriate method.


Startup in Safe mode. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201262

To leave Safe Mode, click  in the menu bar and choose “Restart”
