Recovering my music

I have an old MacBook that's only capable of iTunes version 11.4. So....I'm unable to get my downloaded songs off of it and onto my iPhone7. I am very tech illiterate...is there a way to get the music off of my old MacBook that I no longer use and onto my phone?
