If we're lucky, your phone just needs a kick in the pants. Try a forced restart. Hold the Lock button (right side) and the Home button (face) continuously until the screen goes dark and keep holding both buttons until you see the Apple logo light up again. Chances are that your phone will successfully start. Please report back if that doesn't work.
