I have a nice 5K monitor with only USB-C inputs and no HDMI inputs. I would like to connect my Apple TV 4K to it, but I'm not sure if a signal can go in that direction. So what I'm looking for is a HDMI to USB-C cable or adapter. I see many available, but I'm not sure if they can send a signal from the HDMI connection on my Apple TV (or even a PS4/Xbox) to the USB-C inputs.
Any ideas out there?

HDMI is the only supported method and there will not be a guarantee with any adapter. Even if it were to work it wouldn't be able to pass protected content unless all components supported HDCP and functionality could also cease at any time. It is best to use a TV or monitor with HDMI.
Thunderbolt 3 is the connectivity standard for this monitor, while USB-C is the port shape.
Note that adapters may be unidirectional. They may work Thunderbolt-to-HDMI, but not HDMI-to-Thunderbolt.
