When am using the AirPods on a call people are saying they can’t hear me.

Hi

When am using the AirPods on a call people are saying they can’t hear me. Is there anything I can do as I’ve only had them about a month or two so they shouldn’t be faulty already? They was bought from the Apple store, so would I be best trying to book in for an appointment when they’re back open?

Cheers

Hello,

You could try cleaning them:

Then see this link to test the microphones in general:

Good luck.

Hi

Thanks for the reply. I clean them every other day at the moment with cotton bud, but I haven’t tried or didn’t know their was a microphone test you could do, so I’ll try that. People say it sounds like I’m under water or miles away from the mic so I’ll see what the test brings back, then I might need to book in once Apple shop is back open. Cheers again.
