I cannot get my mac book pro to power up. I've held down the power button several times, charged it and light is green and it won't turn on or do anything.

I’m having the exact same problem and my MacBook Pro is brand new. 16 inch with multiple upgrades.

I’ve been on hold with Apple support now for 24 minutes.

I'm sure Apple support is overwhelmed since most of the Apple Stores and AASPs are closed due to COVID-19.
