Edit cells in numbers without mouse

Is there a way to edit text in a cell in numbers without using the mouse and without deleting the existing entry? I'm thinking of similar to hitting F2 when using Microsoft Excel and editing cell content with automatic cursor positioning at the end of the currently entered cell text. I just hate having to use the mouse along with the keyboard.
