Printer not detected

My printer is not being detected by Macbook Pro. I have already updated my software and installed the original drivers from the company. The printer is connected via USB cable and is turned on but not detected by Macbook. The printer is working with other devices, just not the Macbook. The printer is Epson Stylus DX4050. Please help.

If it is listed as AirPrint printer, delete the existing printer in

> System Preferences> Printers & Scanners, and add it again, select AirPrint.

Connect an AirPrint printer to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support.
