Can't backup on time machine
I've tried 4 times to back up my MacBook pro with time machine but it never gets past 4 or 5 GB and that took 8 hours

If you are still unable to create a backup, let us know the following:
What happens at the end of that 4 or 5 GB and 8 hours?
Are you getting an error message of any kind?
