One airpod is louder than the other when listen on Mac, but not iPhone

When my airpods are connected to my MacBook Pro, my left airpod is louder than my right one. However, I don't have this problem when listening on my iPhone. When connected to my phone, my airpods sound fine. Does anyone know if I can adjust the volume settings for each airpod on my Mac?
