I’ve been sent an apple I’d verification code, they are not from me , what should I do.

Check your Apple ID device list (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205064) and remove any device that shouldn't be signed in using the steps in the link.

Someone is trying to sign into your Apple ID. Since you have 2 Factor Authentication enabled, unless they gain access to one of your trusted devices, they won't be able to sign in. You should be okay.
