Airdrop notification not showing on Mac

Hi all,

I have a 2015 MacBook Pro running Catalina 10.15.4 and an iPhone 8 Plus running iOS 13.4.1.

I have been trying to send a photo via Airdrop from the iPhone to the Mac.

I do not receive any notification on the Mac asking to authorise the iPhone. On the iPhone I see the Mac icon with "waiting..." below.

In the Airdrop tab in Finder the iPhone icon comes and goes and also there I do not receive any notifications.

The firewall allows incoming connections.

What should I do?
