factory reset my MacBook air

good morning i recently gave my husband my MacBook air mid 2013 and he would like to have it factory reset as most of my stuff are on it and he would like to set it up under his iCloud with his stuff on it

Resetting Macbook I bought a new MacBook Pro and want to give my old macbook pro to my mom. Right now, both MacBooks are syncing to the cloud. How do I reset the old one without losing everything that is on my new one and in the cloud etc? I just opened the old MacBook for the first time in months, and it is definitely still updating to reflect what is happening in my new MacBook. Thank you!
