creating a new Apple ID on old ipad

I currently have two ipads that are linked to the same Apple ID, and I want to change the ID on one of them so that my mother can use the ipad to Face Time our family. She does not have a computer or smart phone (only a flip phone). How do I change the Apple ID on one ipad without changing it on both ipads?

If you’re looking to properly transfer the iPad to a new AppleID - and properly “sanitise” the iPad such that it properly prepared for use by a new user - you should follow this procedure:

https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201351

Once prepared, you’ll be able to set-up without having issues with Activation Locks or or other issues.
