Apple watch does not read BPM consistently.

Is Apple Watch supposed to provide constant BPM readings when in workout mode?

Checked every 60 secs over 30 min workout and I only got 3 readings. So 27 times the BPM was grayed out.

Make sure Watch & iPhone are on charger.

Try updating via iPhone > Watch app > My Watch > General > Software Update.

If there's problem updating via iPhone, try directly on the Watch > Settings > General > Software Update.

No tattoo. Sometimes perspiration but on the above 30 min exercise very doubtful it was not hard exercise.. I don't see this as an issue otherwise I would have got consistent readings for the first 10 or 15 mins, but I didn't, there was only one reading in that time. I don't remember any issue when I first bought the watch approx one year ago. I can try on the other hand but it will feel wierd
