I just get an iPad mini 2 Model: A1489, its currently on IOS 8.4.1
Every time a try to update the software a message pops up saying it is unable to find an update.
I already tried to update from my MacBook but it just keeps downloading the update and never finishes.
What should I do?

The iPad Mini 2 should update to iOS 12.4.6. If you cannot get it to update over the air, I would try the computer and iTunes again. Do you have the latest version of iTunes? What version of Mac OS are you using?
I already tried at least 3 times on the MacBook. Im using Mac OS Catalina10.15.4, it just keep downloading and never finishes, in the last time I restarted the Mac but the same thing keep happening, the infinite download.
