My old iphone X got water damage. I received my replacement phone via Asurion insurance and now need to send my old one in. How do i reset old phone to factory if i can't see screen and it won't hook up to my laptop? Phone rings and vibrates, but the screen is black.

Remote wipe via iCloud.
Failing that, either physically destroy it and forgo the trade-on, or assume it’ll get reset when it arrives at Apple.
