My iPhone XR that I’ve had over a year with no issues has been scrolling randomly to the top in safari and skipping back on Netflix and YouTube. Also I can use the top corners of my phone I have to keep pressing over and over to go back or exit something. Do I need to replace my phone or can it be fixed with an update?

sounds to me like the touchscreen is periodic defect

if that did not help then Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support
