I bought a Comica CVM-VS09 USB Type C external mic that plugs directly into the c port of my ipad pro 11". It is supposed to be plug and play and it is not working; it only recognizes it as headphones. Any suggestions?

Are you certain that this microphone supports iPad?
It states so on the packaging as well as on amazon....but maybe it isn't compatible with this latest ipad model?
