I would like to update my mid 2011 imac to the latest OS

Currently on MacOS Sierra version 10.12.6. If possible, i would like to update to the latest MacOS Catalina 10.15.4

Your 2011 iMac is not compatible with Catalina:

macOS Catalina is compatible with these computers - Apple Support

Sorry, Nathan. They do not support the 2011 computers. If you had a 2012 iMac, it would be eligible. I’m in the same boat too :( If you look online, you may see ways to get it working, though they do not work and they void Apple’s Policy. Have a great day.
