My keychain will not open with either my Apple ID password or my administrator ID password

I have a MacBook Pro 2019. The keychain will not open with either my Apple ID password that works if I go to iCloud through Safari or with my administrator password. Ironically, when I try to open iCloud through System Preferences the Apple ID password will not open iCloud.

If icloud keychain is set up and autofill is working the passwords are saved in keychain access ( still the passwords are encrypted ) , resetting admin password will only change it .

See the articles https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT204085

https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/keychain-access/kyca1085/mac

The keychain application will be opened when you can login in Mac using you admin name and password , so if you have completely forgotten the admin password the only way is resetting the password there are various methods to reset see the article https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT202860

If in users and groups > login items only name and password box was checked and rest all the options were unchecked then when ever you login with Mac only name and password fields appear then " resetting admin password will be done through recovery mode only " .

The steps varies for every version of Mac , it depends you have set up secondary authentication account then you must know the six digit iCloud verification code that is required to set up iCloud Keychain and set up gmail account ( if it was used ) and in internet accounts .

If the account is set up with two factor authentication , the admin password can't be reset through recovery mode .

I never use Skype as its a third party application ( and not sure about is compatibility with Mac and avoid using third party apps ) , they can corrupt apple inbuilt applications / files .

Keychain stores passwords and it never opens iCloud.com the use of keychain is explained in the article https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/keychain-access/kyca1083/mac

In iCloud.com with latest version of Mac OS catalina 10.15.4 if the Mac is not synced with iPhone / iPad it will prompt to enter continue with password , after that admin password is entered the iCloud.com account is accessed .

In Mac system preferences > iCloud to open it you need admin password and not your Apple ID and password .

Thank you. I'm trying to view the password for Skype inside of my keychain. The keychain won't open with the administrator password that I use to open my MacBook. If I change or reset the keychain password, I understand that I'll lose all of the passwords that are stored inside of keychain. I'm trying to avoid that.

My keychain will not open with either my Apple ID password or my administrator ID password
