The documents stored in the pages app (all formats including pdf, jpg etc) are unable to be opened.
The icon with the file name is showing in such a way that it is inactive and cannot be opened, deleted, moved, copied etc. This problem exist for all the files located in ipad, icloud, google drive etc.

Correct, Pages is a word processor and cannot open open PDF documents, jpg images, or other file formats. Pages can only open .Pages, .DOC, and .DOCX files.

When you create a new document in Pages then it is automatically saved as a .Pages file.
Documents in pages app cannot be opened
