When I call someone I can hear the phone ringing but as soon as they answer the phone the sound cuts out and I have to put them on speaker phone in order to talk to them. I know the speaker is working because I can hear the phone ringing before they answer. I have an iphone Xs and have restarted it and made sure the phone is up to date.

To adjust call volume you have to be on a call. It is a separate adjustment from the general volume settings for music and separate from Ringer and Alarms setting, too.

The call volume is all the way up and it works on speaker phone. When I switch from speaker phone to the ear speaker I can hear it for a split second and then it just cuts out again.
