All my photos have disappeared, only 4 left from 2012. Now 2020
I don't know what I did.
When I opened Photo there was a message to update and I did.
The same message keeps appearing on the Photo application over and over.
What could have happened and how can I recuperate them?
iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15
What happened recently that might have affected this? (Catalina upgrade?)
Are your images on an internal or external drive?
Have you tried launching Photos with the option key held down and re-pointing it to your library?

Using the option key didn't work.
Maybe it was the Catalina Upgrade? A new one should be happening tonight.
They were on the computer. I also have a Time Machine backup. (sauvegarde)
I was wondering if I could put the images from there onto a external hard drive?
Or better to try to get them back into the computer?
I am not super computer literate at all!
Yes it worked with the option key, I chose a different date that was proposed and there it all is!
