As already indicated by ProustGiulio, if your iPad was purchased directly from Apple, their unconditional return policy is 14-days. However, during these extraordinary times and current closure of Apple Stores, Apple have generously extended their returns-window. This FAQ refers:

If not purchased directly from Apple, then you must speak with your retailer.

Apple return policy says "14 days from date of purchase".
If you bought it at a 3rd party reseller, contact them and ask about their retun policy.
