I have been informed that macOS Catalina will be the last macOS to fully support legacy system extensions. Thus, please advise whether an updated version of the software is available or planned. Also, does the extension need to be remove or disable? If so, how will this affect my system.

For the moment nothing needs to be done. I'm sure more info will be available closer to the next release of macOS.
