Have you tried this trackpad technique? Change Keyboard as Trackpad to move insertion point (Cursor).

Press and Hold the spacebar and move your fingers!

Yes, I know about this feature. But it’s still uncomfortable. The old version that was two years ago is much more convenient. Do not try to solve this problem as soon as possible. Give feedback to the software developers. Let them create a new version of the cursor.

Users require ergonomics.
