My backup iCloud storage on my iPhone

My backup iCloud storage On my iPhone 8 is full, so is there anyway to delete old files and not buy more storage space?

Go to settings>Your Name>iCloud>Manage Storage. You can go through the apps in that setting, tap on one of the apps and delete files in there.
