I have a .mp4 movie created from a .mkv file on my Mac. When I try to view it on the Apple TV 4K (from the computer app on the Apple TV) there is a very long delay before it starts playing. Any solution for this?
I didn't say anything about network speed, I was referring to network coverage. Please use a tool such as iStumbler to test the strength of your network in the various areas of your home. If you have a lot of wi-fi devices in your home or the home is 2 stories or over 1500 sq. feet you may have a coverage problem.
Enhance your network, it may not be up to the task.
It has nothing to do with network speed. It seems to wait until the whole movie loads. My network is very fast.

Wow great tip Urquhart1244! I was converting with Wondershare Uniconverter and I began to suspect that. The converted file gave iTunes a spinning beach ball. Subler worked great! Problem solved.
