"Speak items under the pointer" won't shut up.

I'm not sure how I turned it on. I don't believe I hit the hotkeys, but the really problem is that I can't turn it off. The box is unchecked, but I'm still getting a voice whenever I hover the pointer over a button. It's infuriating. Any ideas on how to make it stop?

Yes. "Enable Announcements" is unchecked. "Speak selected text when the key is pressed" is unchecked. "Speak items under point" is unchecked. VoiceOver is off.

I know it's not VoiceOver, because when I turn VO on I get TWO voices talking over each other.

To make it more confusing, it only seems to be showing this behavior in minecraft. I can't seem to replicate it in any other app.
