In Finder>Preferences>General, & Sidebar check CDs & DVDs.


To Eject you drag the Disc to the Trash or...


On your main hard drive, dig down into System > Library > CoreServices > Menu Extras. Inside that window, double-click on the icon called Eject.menu. You get a pyramid looking icon in the top toolbar.
