Apple TV Compatibility
It looks like I need to purchase a new television. Will my Apple TV device work with smart TVs? Is The device necessary if the TV comes with the Apple TV app?

the appletv app on smart tvs give access to itunes series and movies and apple tv+ streaming
but non of the appletv third party apps or games
some tv's support apple tv app some support airplay 2 and some support both

the appletv box will work with everything with an hdmi port from computer monitors to the smartest tv you can find, it bypass anything smart and use the tv and or monitor as a means of displaying what will, sort of like if you connect a computer to a tv and or monitor.
