Activation Mini

I bought the Ipad Mini new.. set it up with an apple ID and now after it updated it is stuck on Activation Lock and will not let me sign in with my apple ID. It claims there was a different one used to set it up, but that is not true.

Activation lock I have a first generation IPad. I never needed an apple ID to use it. It is 10 years old and recently allow me to even open the safari, it is stuck on an activation lock screen requiring to sign into Apple ID. Again I never seen this screen since I got it back in 2011. Restarting won't work either.

if you bought it brand new, then take it back to where you bought it, if it's asking for a different apple id.
