pairing apple watch series3 with iphone6
my iphone6 stopps at update 12. keeps telling that its the phone is updated and watch keeps asking for update to allow pairing. what do you suggest i do?

Return the watch or buy a new phone.
If the watch is running watchOS 6, it requires an iPhone 6s or higher running iOS 13.
You will not be able to use it with your iPhone 6.
