Which method should I use to downgrade to macOS Mojave?

Because of the new Catalina update, where it no longer supports 32Bit, it has caused my MacBook to no longer work with specific softwares.

I have emailed the software companies and they advised me to just downgrade to macOS Mojave so I can still use their softwares and plugins, as there is no future with Apple supporting 32Bit.

Now, I have been following this YouTube video to backup and downgrade my MacBook, however I am unsure if I need to use the Terminal commands to download OS Mojave rather than downloading OSMojave from the App Store. Could someone please look at the video and explain to me the difference as I really do not want to ruin my MacBook.

Thank you

Here on Step 2, it says to download MacOS Mojave on the App Store but when I click on the link that is the tutorial on how to create a bootable drive, it tells me to download it from the Terminal.

That's not what it says. It says in order to make a bootable installer you will have to use the Terminal, or DiskMaker X.

See this link on how to create a USB bootable installer.
