What else can I do to select the photos. I used to do this in Sierra all of the time.

Thank you for your suggestion. I am not certain what you mean and how to do it. All of my photos are in albums and I used to be able to select an album to use for paintings. The Photo logo is there. It is the pale version.

I am trying to get my photos on my Apple TV. I have followed the instructions for Sharing photos to Apple TV from Catalina which I have. System Preferences, Sharing, Home Sharing and Media Sharing on. The next screen is pale and nothing works.
