you have 5 computers with this apple id. However I don't

When I go to authorize this computer it keeps saying this computer is not authorized. so I go to authorize and then it says you have 5 computers with this Apple ID. But I do not. how do I fix this?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 10.15

You can have ten devices, but no more than five computers authorized. Sometimes you get a message indicating that you have two many computers authorized, but that message may be incorrect. You may have some old computers still authorized. Per Eric Root, the "solution is to "Deauthorize all" and then authorize the computers you still have. Doing that won't affect your iPads, iPhones or Watches."


To deal with this matter use: View and remove your associated devices for purchases https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204074
