When I factory reset my Macbook, will it forget the WiFi networks it used to automatically connect to?

Will my old Macbook Air that I factory reset forget the Wifi Networks it used to auto connect to? i.e. my apartment wifi network.

Follow up question for you: that laptop was brought back to my apartment after being factory reset, and it connected to my wifi network automatically, how could that have happened?

Maybe it is an open network not requiring login.

How was the "factory reset" done? If it was a reinstall of the operating system without first erasing the drive, it will still have files containing data, such as WiFi passwords.
