Pictures in Photos become blurry after editing them

After uploading pictures from my DSLR they're nice and focused but once you edit them and move onto another photo to edit, they become blurry and even after days of it being connected to the cloud and what not, they have not become focused again. I saw that people were having this problem in 2008 and that Apple was working on it but it's 2020 now, not sure what to do, it's quite annoying.

Hi ThomasWayneWolf,

Thanks for posting. We see you're finding that edited photos are blurry when viewed on your Mac, and we'd like to see how we can assist.

For clarification, which exact macOS or OS X version are you using under Apple menu () > About This Mac?

By any chance, are you using optimized storage? You mentioned iCloud, and it sounds possible that you're seeing optimized photos. You can check by opening your Photos app, then clicking Photos > Preferences. Which option is selected there? Set up and use iCloud Photos

You might also check by opening iCloud.com in a web browser on your computer to see how the photos in question look there.

Let us know how it goes.

Take care.
