App-specific passwords not accepted because they don't meet security requirements..

Whenever I generate an app-specific password, the password that is generated is never accepted because it doesn't meet the security requirements (e.g., capital letter, number, lowercase, etc.). It is usually just a series of numbers and letters with dashes

Is there a way to make it comply to the security standards manually, or a way to override them so that the app will accept the password?

If not, I don't know how I am going to get some of my apps to work on my iphone, including my iCloud account.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The app-specific password is to be used to sign into your account whenever using third-party apps - Using app-specific passwords - Apple Support. Therefore I'm not following when you say it doesn't meet the security requirements because that would imply you're trying to create a password of some sort.
